Top 10 Blogging Tips (Part 2) - Collab with Kaila

This week Kaila (makeupbykaila.com) and I decided to do a collab blog post! Kaila is so nice and kind, and I love her blog and her Twitter (twitter.com/makeupbykaila) so much! Kaila and I both followed each other on Twitter and started reading each other's blogs around a month ago. Then we  started chatting on Twitter and decided we would have to post a collab! We both have been blogging for a good amount of time now and decided for the blog post we would post our "Top 10 Blogging Tips," 5 tips on her blog, 5 tips on mine!

1.) Write just the right amount! 📚

If you write too much in a post readers can become uninterested and just click out. Keeping post around 400 - 800 words can really help to keep a reader and keep them clicking around your blog! I'm not saying write extremely short all the time just keep in mind that people are probably coming to your blog for shorter, interesting posts!

2.) Write about things you like! 📖

If you are trying to blog about things you don't know a lot about or you are blogging about experiences you have never partaken in, you might come across as unaware or unknowledgeable. Where your reader who does know more about the topic, can make it hard to continue reading or can make the reader just stop altogether. So, by writing about things you are knowledgeable or have experienced this can keep the reader interested, want to know more, or be interested in your options on the topic!

3.) Write down post ideas whenever you think of them! 📝

I always like to carry a notebook around with me wherever I go. I normally come up with good blog post ideas on the go and gain insperation from things I see or activities I do. So, carrying around this little notebook, to write down any ideas I think of, helps me not to forget them later!

4.) Become inspired!

As I was talking about before, I come up with ideas when I'm out and about. I think the best way to "Become inspired" for blog post ideas is to go out and find new experiences. I don't exactly think you have to go out and like try sky diving, but trying new experiences and products can give you inspiration for blog posts!

5.) Like what you write! 💯

Don't just write a blog post to write a blog post. Enjoy what you are writing about and write for your enjoyment. If you are having a hard time writing a blog post, because you don't have interest in what you are writing about, ditch the idea. Start a new post and try writing about something else! Always be proud and happy with what you write, don't sacrifice quality for quantity!

I really hoped you liked this post, I put a lot of time and effort into this post, but is was so worth it, because I loved how it turned out! It was so nice to be able to talk to Kaila and when she said she liked my blog and wanted to collab with me I was so honored, so thank you Kaila! I will leave all her links below, so go and check her stuff out, but again I hope you enjoyed!

Morning and Night Skin Care

This week I wanted to write a short blog post about what I use for my skin care. I use other products, but I thought I would just write about my morning/daily face moisturizer and my night face moisturizer. I have been using both of these products for a couple months and have fell in love with both of them. I would say I have normal skin and both of these products don't over or under moisturize my face. Also neither of these products leave my oily which is my favorite part. Origins "Mega Bright SPF 30" Day Cream Burt's Bees "Radiance" Night Cream First, I want to talk about Origins "Mega Bright with SPF 30" day cream. This product has helped my skin tremendously. It cleared up my post acne spots, so quickly, without any scaring or cleared up any scars I had. In my teen years I had a lot of acne and acne scarring all over my face and this product has completely cleared up my spots. I also like that this day cream ke...

Connor Franta and A Work in Progress (Review)

There have been so many amazing YouTuber books brought out these last few years and I am so happy for all of them to share their stories. But, my favorite YouTuber book I have read definitely has to be Connor Franta's book "A Work in Progress." Connor is such an inspiration to so many people and it makes me so happy the he shared his whole life story with his viewers. First, I want to give a little background information on Connor. Connor Franta was born on September 12, 1992 in Wisconsin, then his family moved to Le Crescent, Minnesota. Connor started to college at Saint John's University and complete two years, before deciding to focus on YouTube full time. Now Connor is a full time YouTuber with many other accomplishments, like starting a brand and creating many compilation albums, which were all amazing! My favorite thing that Connor has created (other than his YouTube videos) is his book, A Work in Progress! I actually liked it so much, I bought it agai...
